Aren’t these so adorable? I just love fall and Halloween time. Orange is my second favorite color (yes, I have a second favorite), my birthday is in October, and fall means relief from the insanely hot summers here.

These Boo-licious Brownies are so fun and so easy! I plan to make several batches for my daughter’s school Halloween party, but they would be perfect for a party at home too! Or gather up all the neighbor kids and let them make some.

I love the beautiful color that the Orange Confetti plates add to this dish. They really pull it together and give you the feeling that it’s Halloween (but they would be perfect for Thanksgiving or really all year long too)..

The large Confetti Mixing Bowl is perfect for letting kids help (helps them keep everything in the bowl) and great for making a double batch of brownies…yes that is a double batch and it didn’t even fill the bowl half way! There was plenty of room for mixing!

Ingredients
Directions

  • 1 box brownie mix (for a 13×9 pan) or use your favorite scratch brownie recipe
  • 16-20 large marshmallows
  • 1 bag white chocolate chips
  • 2-4 tbls shortening
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 16-20 toothpicks
  1. Prepare brownies as directed on box or in your recipe. Bake and let cool completely. Cut into 16-20 brownies and gently remove from pan and place on a large cooling rack.
  2. Place one marshmallow on top of each brownie. Put a toothpick through the marshmallow and into the brownie to hold it in place.**
  3. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons shortening for 30-45 seconds. Stir. Continue in 15 second intervals until the chips are melted and smooth. If the white chocolate is still too thick to drizzle nicely, then just add more shortening by the teaspoon. Using a spoon, carefully drizzle the melted white chocolate on the top of the marshmallow. With a circular motion, gently push it over the sides of the marshmallows. Start with a little amount of melted white chocolate and add more as needed. Let ghosts harden. Place in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to speed up the process.
  4. Melt chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of shortening using the same method as above. To add faces: use a toothpick dipped in chocolate, or place chocolate in a zip-top bag (or piping bag) with a small hole cut, or use a number 2 frosting tip in the bag.
