Every once in a blue moon, the kids are both away or they go to bed on time so Hubbyman and I get a quiet house to ourselves. I love being in the kitchen, but being able to whip something up really quick while we settle in for a movie night is high on my list. Using the new Zakwave products have become a must for quick meals and desserts in my house.
We have made this quick strawberry crumble about half a dozen times in the last few weeks and it comes out perfect every time. Plus since there are so few ingredients, I pretty much always have them on hand. This same technique will work your favorite berry or pretty much any other fruit.
Add a little dollop of whipped cream or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make this a scrumptious dessert or even an after school snack for the kids. Add an extra spoon because it is definitely enough to share with your favorite person. Or don’t tell anyone and eat it all yourself! I may or may not have done that once or twice while the kids were at school
