Every once in a blue moon, the kids are both away or they go to bed on time so Hubbyman and I get a quiet house to ourselves. I love being in the kitchen, but being able to whip something up really quick while we settle in for a movie night is high on my list. Using the new Zakwave products have become a must for quick meals and desserts in my house.

We have made this quick strawberry crumble about half a dozen times in the last few weeks and it comes out perfect every time. Plus since there are so few ingredients, I pretty much always have them on hand. This same technique will work your favorite berry or pretty much any other fruit.

Add a little dollop of whipped cream or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make this a scrumptious dessert or even an after school snack for the kids. Strawberry Crumble in the Microwave Recipe Instructions

Ingredients
Cooking Directions

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbls rolled oats
  • 2 tbls all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbls brown sugar
  • 1 tbls butter, melted
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  1. Combine chopped strawberries and powdered sugar in the Zakwave Bowl or Bowl for Noodles. Cook in microwave for one minute.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix well to fully combine. Add to top of cooked strawberries, covering the entire surface well.
  3. Return bowl to microwave and cook for an additional 45 seconds. Let cool for 10 seconds, then cook for 20 more seconds.
  4. Let cool for 5 minutes before enjoying!
