Spinach Basil Pesto Recipe

Pesto, pronto! If you’re like us, you love a good pesto. On a sandwich, on some pasta, or even a spoonful out of the fridge when nobody’s looking – we don’t care much, as long as we get our pesto. Take a walk on the Italian side tonight and whip up some of this super simple, super delicious pesto!

Spinach Basil Pesto Recipe Instructions

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 8

Ingredients
Directions

  • 4 cups spinach
  • 2 cups basil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup olive oil, plus 1 tablespoon
  1. Place the spinach, basil, garlic, garlic, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a food processor or blender. Turn on the machine and blend for 30 seconds. Slowly stream in the olive oil while the machine is running. Process until smooth.
  2. Serve with pasta, veggies, chicken, fish, as a spread, whatever, really! You can store the pesto in a jar or container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. This pesto also freezes well. Enjoy!
