One on One Time With Your Child
I have four kiddos. And I think spending one-on-one time with them is extremely important. One of our favorite traditions is having a “Mommy & Me Date”. We don’t have to go anywhere special for these dates. What makes them great is the thought that goes into them.
I have one daughter in the middle of three boys. As you can imagine, she doesn’t get to do ‘girl’ things that often. So for our ‘Mommy & Me Date’, I decided to throw a tea party. And because her favorite color is pink, I decided to incorporate the color pink into the theme of our little soiree. On the Menu: fancy cupcakes, caramel for dipping apples, and her favorite red grapes. These fun foods were made even more fun when I served them up on a perfectly pink cake plate and in flower-shaped serving dishes from Zak! My daughter was in tea party heaven! The thing to remember about spending one-on-one time with your kiddos, is that it doesn’t have to be extravagant, and it doesn’t have to cost tons of money. What it should be is something that will delight your child. Something that is uniquely them. In this case, my daughter and I spent some quality girl time surrounded by yummy treats at a pretty, pink table. We chatted, laughed and enjoyed just being together. And that’s what really counts!
