Cactus Easter Eggs

This cute craft would be a great Easter activity to do with the kids. This fun take on traditional Easter eggs includes a ton of cactus cuteness - minus the prickly factor! Use these colorful prep bowls - useful for eating and prepping, but also can be used for this cactus easter egg craft as planters!

Make an Easter desert with these cute cactus eggs!


  • Eggs (hardboiled)
  • Green egg dye
  • Fine tip black marker
  • Small terracotta pots
  • Decorative gravel
  • Pink or yellow tissue paper and glue (liquid)


  1. Dye eggs
  2. After eggs dry, use marker to draw thorns. You can draw lines, a line of x’s, or free form thorns.
  3. Cut squares of tissue paper. Scrunch them up and glue them to the top.
  4. Pour gravel in pots
  5. Nestle finished eggs inside
